What is a drum mixing plant?
A drum mixing plant is a continuous type of asphalt plant. It does all its processes in a continuous manner. Heating of aggregate is done inside a drum. Inside the same drum, mixing with bitumen and filler material takes place. The ready hot mix asphalt is then loaded into silos or waiting trucks.

This process is done continuously and that is why we know this as a continuous plant.

Dryer
The dryer is accurately fabricated to ensure proper heating of aggregates with minimum heat loss. It is supported on steel rollers through steel tires with idlers and guide rollers and is provided with a segmented driving sprocket.

Four Bin Feeder
The bins are all-welded and modular in construction, permitting easy addition of bins to meet growing needs. A free flow of aggregates is ensured with steep bin walls and valley angles without holding up materials in the corners. The bins supplied with adjustable calibrated gate openings and variable speed feeders drive, together offer total proportional control, greater flexibility, and accuracy of operations. This ensures top performance even under the toughest of operating conditions. Each bin has an independent belt driven by AC variable speed motors, with a single load cell for weighing aggregate as per the job mix formula. At the discharge end of the gathering conveyor, a single deck vibratory screen is provided for oversize removal of aggregate. The sand bin is equipped with vibratory motors.
